AML/KYC Information

Anti-money laundering and customer due diligence

FinesseGate applies customer due diligence and document verification to every transaction request in line with applicable anti-money laundering expectations. This is why we ask for identification, proof of address, and supporting documentation relevant to the purpose of your transaction.

Why we verify

FinesseGate applies customer due diligence and document verification to every transaction request in line with applicable anti-money laundering expectations. This is why we ask for identification, proof of address, and supporting documentation relevant to the purpose of your transaction (for example, an invoice, admission letter, or contract). Verification protects both our customers and the integrity of the partner institutions we work with.

What we ask for

When you submit a transaction request, you may be asked to provide:identification (for example, a valid national ID, NIN, BVN, or passport); proof of address (a recent utility bill or similar document); and supporting documentation relating to the purpose of your transaction (for example, an invoice, admission letter, or contract).

How verification works

Our verification process is designed to confirm that you are who you say you are and that the transaction request is legitimate. The time taken to verify your documents depends on the completeness of the documents you provide and the volume of requests we are processing. We will contact you if we need any additional information.

Who can see your information

Information you provide for verification is handled by authorised FinesseGate staff and, where necessary, the relevant partner institutions. It is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable legal retention obligations. See our Privacy Policy for details.
